„The foundation of Thormesis goes back to the year 2006 to Rothenburg ob der Tauber. Travos, Keltor and Hagolt (bass) formed the origin of the band. After a short time Velsir and Berucas came to it. The first work „Gehet hin und kämpfet“ was released in a self-produced in 2008. Between 2008 and 2010 a lot has happened. Thormesis signed a contract with Düsterwald Productions and released their second album „Vergangene Asche“ in 2010. With the follow-up album „Von Leere und Tod“ in 2012 (AFM Records), the musical genre of Thormesis changed more and more into the black metal area. After a rather inactive phase of 2013-2014, the band returns to the stage in 2015 with a new lineup, new album, new music and new motivation. The album „Freier Wille – Freier Geist„ was released on 20 February 2015 under MDD Records and combines Black Metal with classic rock ́n ́ roll elements. In 2017 (10.02.) Thormesis released their already fifth studio album „Trümmerfarben“, which many see as a logical consequence of „Freier Wille – Freier Geist„. 2019 will be the year when Thormesis will focus on live concerts. They present their new album with English titles for the first time. In keeping with the sixth work, the album is entitled „The Sixth“.“
